Here a couple of shots that I took recently of my fellow blogger Vic Styles. I myself usually go for the minimalist style, but she has really inspired me to add some patterns to my wardrobe. Plus her fro is pretty awesome!!!

Now, as for me, these last few weeks I have been taking it easy. I guess you can call it a life detox. Lots of self reflection, some planning, lots of running (surprisingly) and eating good food. It feels great. I am not sure what the next 3 weeks have in store for me because I am not sure if I will get orders to go to Texas for school or not. I really wish Uncle Sam would make up his mind and let me know. Because of the whole Texas thing I didn't really search for a part time job. I did put in applications here and there, but I didn't put the effort I would have put into it if I wasn't going anywhere. I just don't want to start something knowing that in August I would be gone for several weeks. Ugh. At any rate, if I don't go to Texas for 8 weeks then I start up school at the end of the month.

This weekend I actually might have a busy weekend coming up. Tomorrow I am taking some photos for another lovely blogger and then Sunday I was thinking about taking the train to the Salsa Festival in Oxnard. Not sure about Sunday though. Depends on how the weekend goes. Might decide to live it up and party too hard, thus leaving me incapacitated on Sunday. Or not. Ok, definitely not, but you never know ;)

So here are a couple of photos over the last 2 weeks or so, I know its not many and I need to do better :)

Well this whole week I have been in a serious funk. Getting up at 4 AM for no reason and already thinking about sleep by 8. Today I woke up feeling motivated so I am about to head out to get some supplies for a couple of projects I want to work on. More details on those later. But for now, here are some photos that I took of my fellow bloggers. Every time I take photos I learn something new and I am already itching for a new lens. Both of these ladies are so pretty and have great fashion sense. Something I need to work on! ;) Don't worry I will get there!

She has such a lovely spirit and it was pretty awesome to be able to capture some moments with her :) Can't wait to come back from my vacation already so I can take some more!!

Sneak Peak

Yesterday I had the opportunity to take photos for a local fashion blogger (Katherine Lauren from On The Kattwalk) and it was a great experience. I learned so much from yesterday and I can't wait to do it again and improve for next time. One lesson that I learned while going through the 350 + photos I took yesterday: Be aware of whole person in the photo instead of the points that you are focusing on. Anyways, she was a great sport and such a genuine person and I can wait to get together in the future to get some more amazing shots and improve even more.

Favorite Photos Of The Week

Falling In Love With My Camera!!!

Got a new lens in the mail not even an hour ago and I am in LOVE. Seriously I never really knew how beautiful a prime lens could be until now. I think--no I am positive, that is this is my favorite lens.  Now that school is out for the summer I was lacking motivation. I really just want to relax and be lazy, but this lens has got me feeling some kind of way. I want to go out and take pictures now! I took a photography class last semester and I am really determined to take my photos in manual now. The trials and errors of learning aperture and shutter speed are real, but I will get it!
